Soothing, yet curiosity-piquing at the same time, Gibeon is named after a meteorite with a fascinating story. Its prehistoric crash-landing in Namibia scattered iron fragments across the Kalahari desert, and it wasn’t until 1836 that Western scientists first documented it — but the local Nama people had been crafting spearheads and tools from it for centuries, perhaps even millenia.
The meteorite fragments bear a strikingly beautiful, geometric crystal pattern — the natural result of cooling over millions of years in space — that gives them an intriguing, otherworldly appearance. Through its powdery, ethereal scent, Gibeon reflects the mystique of its meteorite namesake.
